In 2007 the Mayor of Maui County changed the county policies regarding residential vacation rental properties. Many properties at that time had been operating illegally for years. Kahana Nui Villa has always operated as a legal vacation rental. When the administration changed the policy, they required us to reapply for our permit. So that is what we did - we followed the rules and went through the 20 month process and received our permit in November of 2009. As of now we are one of only 8 fully permitted legal vacation rental homes on Maui. When making the decision to rent a vacation home on Maui you should be very concerned with whether or not the home is fully permitted and legal. The county of Maui has been shutting down unpermitted illegal vacation rentals for the past few years and this could impact your trip if this happened to the home that you had booked. Please be assured we want you to have the most positive, relaxing and secure vacation that we can possibly provide and one of the things that the Kahana Nui Villa offers you is the security of knowing that when you book with us you are booking a FULLY LEGAL AND PERMITED TRANSIANT VACATION RENTAL HOME. Reservation

Deposit
requirements ~ Refund and Cancellation Policy |
- DEPOSITS:
- A 25% deposit
of the total rental amount is required to guarantee rental reservation.
The 75% balance, together with a Security Deposit, must be received
no less than 90 days prior to scheduled arrival date (180 days
for the Christmas Holidays). Reservations made less than 90
days (180 days for the Christmas Holidays) prior to the arrival
date are to be paid in full at the time of the initial reservation.
Visa and Master Cards accepted, Cashier's checks are welcome.
However, personal and company checks must clear through our
bank before the required date.

- REFUNDS
and CANCELLATIONS:
- To obtain a refund,
cancellation must be made no less than 90 days prior to the
arrival date (no less than 180 days for Christmas & holiday
reservations). If canceled within 90 days (180 days for
the Christmas Holidays) of rental start date, the amount refunded
will be only the amount received for the re-rental during the
original rental dates by rental to new guest.
